The Captain Stannard House is a unique and wonderful setting for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, receptions and wedding pictures. This 1872 restored Sea Captain’s Manor with attached converted barns provides large common areas, a magnificent 80’ porch overlooking our lovely gardens and Gazebo. We can easily accommodate large groups of people for several days and are an exceptional setting for all your wedding activities.

The Inn offers nine beautifully appointed guest rooms. Each has stylish antiques, comfortable queen bed with freshly pressed cotton linens, private bath, individual climate control, desk and sitting area. Anticipate a delicious, two-course, candlelit full breakfast which is included in your room rate.

Lydia’s Room, the bride’s dressing room, has a beautiful vanity, full-length mirror and armchair.

Our Great Room boasts a beautiful fieldstone fireplace and houses a regulation size pool table, an Armoire filled with board games, a multi CD player with a wide variety of music, as well as, a stocked mini-fridge. Linger by the fire with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

The cozy Captain’s Room has a television, chess table for two, an on-going jig-saw puzzle and overstuffed comfortable sofa, loveseat and high-back chairs.

The Library, complete with comfy loveseat and upholstered chairs, has a PC station with lap top, fax, copier and printer, in addition to, a television and French doors for added privacy. The Inn has complimentary WiFi throughout as well.

Antique tables and chairs, fine china, a fieldstone fireplace and a beautiful baby grand piano fill our warm and inviting Dining Room. Relax at a table by the fire or by the windows overlooking the gardens and Gazebo. Either way expect to be pampered by the service and awed by the food.
